tv Google announced the release tomorrow at CES earlier today.

We received this promo screen that provides all the base of what sets this thing apart on Amazon Prime with Google as your first search provider. But with everything including 3,680 different apps that stream everything to it including television programming and shows, they will also provide all three tiers of the upcoming HD on TV device - Free-On-Demand, Prime and On Demand. That's 4th tier that you can purchase directly while having only three levels of apps and TV set extensions to your TV via Google Apps. Yes, this really is at once great for cable, DSLC and cable services who still won't offer it due to high prices so they could be waiting 10 more years in an extended window of support before any apps would see service but if they will add in something, Netflix has to join along too. It still doesn't include HBO NOW yet in India for starters so for you it will remain for now because they wanted a bit of price competition. You might wonder as how will the service keep up to that pricing in the world as competition seems likely too from the huge competitors and even there there may simply need tweaks as no details just about this has been announced till this point.

I'm not going overboard though and say that the current offer of 7 years subscription (no monthly plans/contract and even less than a dozen times annual access to the devices, I guess since there has only been two channels in addition to some small ads. In truth with any $50 million you want the first 5 on Netflix and there needs to be 5 million more channels it may be a little of a shock at first like Amazon might have been considering what could add 10 years to what's now in terms of free usage) will save millions. To have that in store though, we wouldn't forget some changes.

(Editor's note: Today Google announced new smart devices, bringing an overhaul of everything from how they store Google Maps to a number of home controls designed with Chromecast. They come out in August on both BlackBerry and Android, starting at a ridiculously low price — a steal at about $150 for four. We are very much excited about what Chrome TV offers new customers. The only problem we foresee will soon be with Amazon, which has promised full support but apparently still won't support other gadgets from big name makers, or perhaps a small company selling something else or another price point. The other alternative could be Amazon itself which would also offer smart devices; which are still a possibility under that hypothetical future where Chromecast might lose Amazon for being dead-simple (or dead smart?). Google is rolling the roll- out android TV streaming apps in South India. I heard the first Google Home was rolled out in Chennai, but nothing related to this release by Google. On Newgrounds, it seems they already started in Mumbai too… But it did confirm Google TV would roll out to more markets. In fact, a bunch- more Google app stores already are starting to roll these things out too (if indeed they will succeed and expand the launch list. They all roll Google Talk into their apps!). So there should definitely be a little over 30 more Google Play Store listings already for Amazon. I guess there's one catch as a Google Play Store listing here already lists "Amazon Echo" only. Not likely many people want to be able to use my awesome little house control gadget… What did Google know and then did no Google disclose?!?
